In 2009 the three existing Christadelphian couples living in scattered parts of Colombia, two of them dating from the efforts of CBMUK several decades ago, were augmented by the baptism of Bro. Adelson Rodríguez in the northeastern city of Cúcuta. Like so many other Latin American contacts in recent times, Adelson came across our community via the web site labiblia.com and he studied the Bible with us by mail, email and telephone for more than three years prior to his baptism. He is now focussed on trying to bring other members of his extended family into the Truth. Unfortunately, Bro. Adelson lives a good distance from the other Christadelphians in Colombia, but he was greatly encouraged not long after his baptism by the visit of a Colombian brother resident in the UK.
Though the CBMA does not do much in the way of outreach on the ground in Colombia, we do service a continual supply of new postal students arising from Internet advertising. Christadelphians with roots in Colombia travel to the country two or three times a year from the UK and visit most of the members. In addition, they receive a constant supply of talks on cassette tapes and exhortational material via email.
