Activities

The Los Angeles Hispanic Ecclesia opened its doors in the Koreatown area of the city in 1998 and baptized its first new members in April, 2000. Since then we have been blessed with a further 27 baptisms, 1 of those this year. Two more friends are presently studying for baptism. We hold an ecclesial Bible class each Thursday evening and Saturday afternoon, with a concurrent class for children and teenagers. CYC is held on Monday evenings.

The Sunday lecture attracts a reasonable number of visitors, and at the same time we have three Sunday-school classes. Our primary means of outreach continues to be the Bible correspondence course (actually a series of courses), but for cost-effectiveness we are now advertising via Google ad-words instead of print media. Over the years we have mailed out thousands of postal courses; our database of active contacts now has about 700 names. So far this year we have welcomed 28 new visitors. Since the ecclesia opened 12 years ago more than 750 different interested contacts have attended classes or lectures at LA Hispanic.
