The Truth has been in Guyana since the late 1800s, with a major revival in the 1950s. Today, there are 6 ecclesias, all active and seeking to carry on the work of their Lord. There were 6 baptisms this year, 4 from the Georgetown ecclesia and 2 from the New Amsterdam ecclesia. With the constant emigration of capable brethren (2 major families of active brothers and sisters this year alone), the ecclesias need help in their efforts to proclaim the Gospel and train up a new generation in sound ecclesial service and stewardship. New Amsterdam is in critical need for a strong, spiritually sound couple to help rebuild it.
Mocha has opened a new hall and could use a concentrated, multi-month outreach effort to fill this new hall. The youth in Guyana, especially, need to be trained in effective Bible study and be prepared to take on the responsibilities of ecclesia life from the older generation. Will you consider helping? Get a taste of Guyana by attending the annual Bible School in April 2-5, 2010!
